Liverpool fans have been rocked over the last week or so, with successive draws against Leicester and West Ham threatening to derail their title hopes. However, The Liverpool Echo have given them some huge news to help them get over it as they’ve confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been added to their Champions League squad.

Last season, when Liverpool, reached the final of the Champions League, it was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who was key to their run to the final, even though he missed the semi-final second leg and the final itself in Kiev. This time, though, he’s missed the group stages and it looks like Jurgen Klopp is banking on having him back for the knockouts after he added him to the club’s 25-man list A.
The list A, that had to be submitted to UEFA before last Friday. With both Dominic Solanke and Nathaniel Clyne dropping out of that lost, a spot has opened up for Chamberlain and the fans will be ecstatic if they can get their midfielder back out on the pitch and firing again in the Champions League as he nears the end of his ten-month layoff with a knee injury.

The Kopites are over the moon to hear that Chamberlain will be available in the Champions League when he recovers and would love nothing more than to see him fire them to back-to-back finals in the competition.
