Normally it would be unheard of to see Liverpool fans calling for their club to sign an Everton star, however, given the way Jordan Pickford has performed and carried himself at the World Cup finals it’s no surprise to see that the Anfield faithful are eyeing him up.

For those who have been living under a rock, England’s fantastic World Cup run came to an end last night when Croatia beat Gareth Southgate’s heroes 2-1 at the Luzhniki Stadium. Despite the result, a number of players really played well enough to deserve to be in the final. Kieran Trippier’s superb free-kick got the game rolling and it could have been three or four nil at half-time, however, things just didn’t fall for England in the second-half.
Croatia then piled on the pressure in the second-half and if it wasn’t for Pickford’s brilliance and his backline’s bravery then the Three Lions wouldn’t have even got to extra-time. The Everton stopper was particularly good and showed the world that he can step up on the big stage. It’s unlikely he’ll leave Everton this summer after signing for The Toffees for £30 million last summer, but most Liverpool fans would love to see him at Anfield, especially after last night.

From the tweets above it’s clear to see that the fans rate Pickford and would snap him up in a heartbeat if Everton were ever looking to sell.
