Liverpool fans everywhere aren’t exactly the biggest fans of Alberto Moreno. The Spanish left-back is far from a regular at Anfield and with Andrew Robertson flying at left-back, it looks like Jurgen Klopp has realised there’s no need for Moreno anymore. According to Neil Jones on Goal.com, the defender could be allowed to leave on a free in the summer.

It’s not like Moreno will be out of opportunities after his time at Liverpool is up. The 26-year-old had a lot of success at Sevilla before signing for Liverpool and it wouldn’t be out of the equation for the Spaniard to return to Spanish football in the coming years. His days in England have been poor and defensive errors have marred his Anfield days, whilst the defender has good technique and is good going forward, he was never going to cut it at Liverpool.
Meanwhile, since Robertson has been the first choice at Anfield the Reds have not looked back and with the young academy defender, Adam Lewis, knocking on the door with his sublime performances for the club’s academy it would be no real loss for Moreno to leave and Lewis to step up. The Kopites will be expecting big things from Lewis if he does get the call and with the success that youngsters Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez have had in the senior team, the fans will be very expectant.

Probably the best news I'll hear all week, great Monday now. But is this true I thought Moreno signed New deal there about 6 months ago??

We are being robbed. Should be paying him to leave. He’s that poor.

The Reds will be delighted to see Moreno leave and will hope that it’s a smooth departure for the defensively inept full-back.
