Anfield will be a real place of optimism this season. On paper, the Reds have one of the best sides in the world and they could easily challenge for the Premier League title alongside Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. One of the key players in the side is Roberto Firmino and according to the Liverpool website, the Brazilian will be ready for the start of the season.

The fans have been understandably thrilled with the news that they don’t have to wait to see their industrious forward and when they travel to The London Stadium next Sunday it will be a huge boost to have the Brazilian available. The 26-year-old contributed 22 Premier League goals last season, with 15 goals and seven assists to his name as the Reds confirmed themselves a place in the top-four on the final day of the season.
The new season is now just over a week away and the Liverpool fans have been trying to guess how many goals Firmino will score this season. The Brazilian had little impact at the World Cup as Tite opted to keep the hardworking frontman on the bench for the majority of the competition, however, he did bag one goal in the 2-0 win over Mexico in the round of sixteen. The fans will be keen for him to be rested and ready but will also be eager for him to back in a Liverpool shirt and back amongst the goals.
