At the end of the season when Liverpool fans look back over their best performances, no one will be mentioning Fulham at Anfield. It was a game that lacked intensity and lacked an edge and whilst Jurgen Klopp’s side took all three points, it was far from entertaining.

Sunday’s early kick-off and the first of three live matches that had Premier League fans salivating failed to live up to the bill and whilst Fulham never looked like getting anything from the clash, the fact that The Reds took so long to get going had their fans on Twitter getting more and more frustrated by the minute until they finally opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time.
When Mo Salah scored the game had any life that was in it sucked out as a sorry Fulham then came out in the second-half lacking belief as Xherdan Shaqiri doubled the home side’s lead. There was a time in the game, though, where Liverpool fans were fuming, as Slavisa Jokanovic’s side piled on the pressure around the half-an-hour mark there were plenty of Liverpool fans who were quick to slate their team, claiming that they’ll never be title contenders playing the way they did.

It was a day to forget at Anfield and the fans will hope that the side can pick themselves up after the international break and start playing some better football.
