Loads of Liverpool fans are raving over the potential of Ki-Jana Hoever, as the Dutch defender celebrated his 18th birthday on Saturday.
Supremely athletic, cool and collected on the ball, Dutch, centre-back… remind you of anyone? Liverpool fans can certainly see the comparison, as the Reds faithful are heaping praise on Hoever while discussing his future with the club.
The teenage talent celebrates his birthday this weekend having played three times for the Reds’ first team, while he has also featured for the under-23 and under-18 sides, and his ability to play at both centre-back and right-back has proven useful to Jurgen Klopp when rotating his squad for cup competitions.
Hoever is not yet a full Dutch international, but he has played at various youth levels for the Netherlands and was part of the under-17 side that won the 2019 European Championship.
Supporters have some extremely high praise for him as the club tweeted to wish him a happy birthday, with one even saying he is better than Virgil van Dijk and another hailing him as a ‘wonderkid’. Check out some of the reactions down below…
