Liverpool’s Curtis Jones has been shortlisted for the Player of the Season award for the Premier League 2.
The Merseyside local has covered himself in glory this term after his contributions to both the senior and reserve team. Across all competitions, Jones boasts 17 goals and seven assists, including his winning goal against bitter rivals Everton in the FA Cup back in May (via Transfermarkt).

He recently accepted his winners’ medal for participating in Liverpool’s runaway Premier League season and joined the celebrations at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Now, he has a chance of adding another accolade to his name if he wins this Player of the Season award.
Plenty of Liverpool fans are congratulating him on this achievement with a few taking the time to mock Championship side Birmingham City by telling the club to ‘retire his number’. It was recently announced that the Blues would be retiring Jude Bellingham’s number following his move to Dortmund, despite only being 17 years old.
