Liverpool: Fans praise Curtis Jones for yet another goal in the FA Cup

Loads of Liverpool fans were delighted with Curtis Jones’ performance during his side’s 2-2 draw against Shrewsbury Town on Sunday.

The Reds were 2-0 up in the second half but a late fightback from the hosts at New Meadow meant that the tie went to an FA Cup fourth-round replay and substitute Jason Cummings cancelled out the Merseysiders’ lead against a side that had a blend of second-string and academy players.

Indeed, the 18-year-old scored Liverpool’s first-half opener after he was slipped through by Pedro Chirivella and calmly dispatched past goalkeeper Max O’Leary. Sofascore recorded that he also managed three shots on goal, three successful dribbles, three clearances and a pass success rate of 85%, pointing to another promising performance for the player. With that in mind, supporters were delighted with his outing and made their feelings clear on social media.
