Liverpool: Fans praise Dejan Lovren after performance against Manchester City

Liverpool supporters have heaped praise on defender Dejan Lovren after his performance during his side’s 3-1 victory against Manchester City on Sunday.

The 30-year-old featured alongside Virgil van Dijk as the Reds went eight points clear at the top of the Premier League and nine ahead of their title rivals.

Goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane made up the goal tally for the afternoon. Citizens’ midfielder Bernardo Silva scored a late consolation goal for the visitors, but it was not enough for the visitors to take any points from the game.

Lovren was defensively very sharp and cleared up a lot of loose balls during the 90 minutes. He made five clearances and two blocks during the game (per WhoScored), illustrating his attitude and effort during the 90 minutes.
