Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Wolves on Sunday may not have been convincing, but it means they go into 2020 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League. One man who has been crucial in their march towards the title so far has been Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Liverpool fans know what a special player they have.
The 21-year-old has played in each of the Reds 19 games so far this season, making eight assists, and that’s second only to Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne who’s on 12. The defensive side of his game has been criticised by pundits like Gary Neville on Sky Sports but, with Liverpool’s dominance, he hasn’t been required to do much of that anyway.
He posted a picture of him playing against Wolves on Sunday and captioned the tweet “2019 you’ve been fun. 2020 let’s go”. Fans saw the post and many replied to tell him how much they rate him, with some fans labelling him the best right-back in the world, and it’d be hard to argue.
