In today’s press conference, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp addressed questions surrounding Fabinho’s future given the midfielder’s testing start to life at Anfield.
The Brazil international has been eased into the side so far as he has made just eight appearances in all competitions, and with very few of those being particularly impressive, speculation has been circling about whether he has a long-term future at the Merseyside giants.
On the topic, Klopp said in his pre-Watford press conference: ‘He will not leave. He doesn’t want to’.
That shuts down the confusion, if there was any, around Fabinho. The versatile midfielder will continue to keep trying to impress when provided the opportunity as there is no doubt he can become a key component of Liverpool’s midfield for years to come.

Unsurprisingly, the question around Fabinho’s future, alongside Klopp’s forthright response, has stimulated quite a reaction from Reds supporters on Twitter, with it safe to say many were not very impressed that the Liverpool manager even had to reply to such a question…

Can’t believe he’s even had to answer this, it’s obvious. Wish people would stop believing tabloid rubbish.
