Liverpool: Fans react as Mohamed Salah wins Goal of the Decade

Liverpool supporters have been reacting to the news that Mohamed Salah secured the Goal of the Decade after his solo goal during a 2-2 draw against Tottenham in 2018.

The 28-year-old edged out Divock Origi and former Reds’ midfielder Emre Can as he took the top prize with his dramatic late goal versus the north London side.

Salah took the ball on the edge of the penalty area and slalomed around two Spurs’ defenders before calmly finishing to send Anfield into an eruption of noise.

However, this goal was not welcomed with complete agree as some fans had a different idea as to what should have won instead.

Belgium international Divock Origi’s second goal against Barcelona was the strike that they thought should have been picked over the Egyptian’s wonder goal, as his finish helped Liverpool win the Champions League in Madrid.

Supporters were left stunned by the outcome of the vote and made their feelings clear on social media.

Here are some comments from Liverpool fans that believe Origi should have won the accolade:
