Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has indicated that he is making discernible progress in his recovery from the calf injury that he picked up in the Reds’ win over Norwich last month.
Speaking about his injury recovery with the club’s official website liverpoolfc.com, the Brazil international said “I think we are nearly there”, with Liverpool sharing the update on their official Twitter channel @LFC.

The 26-year-old has been out of action since the game against Norwich in early August, but he was this week named as the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper at The Best FIFA Football Awards after keeping 27 clean sheets in all competitions last season and helping Liverpool to win the Champions League.
In Alisson’s absence, Adrian has deputised in goal and helped the Reds to six consecutive wins at the start of the Premier League season, as well as making a decisive save in the penalty shoot-out triumph over Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in August.
These Liverpool fans on Twitter seemed happy with Alisson’s update on his progress but also showed their appreciation for Adrian’s performances in recent weeks:
Great option from the bench Ally because the king is my No.1
