Despite securing a 2-1 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend, the appearance of one player on the pitch was criticised by a section of Liverpool supporters.
With just seven minutes of normal time remaining in the match, Chelsea were piling pressure on the Reds who were looking to see the game out.
Jurgen Klopp decided a change was needed to ensure they kept hold of the lead and he took off his captain Jordan Henderson. In his place, he sent on fellow Englishman Adam Lallana for just his second league appearance of the 2019/20 season.
It was a decision that certainly raised eyebrows, largely because Lallana has not been a regular for the Reds in the last two seasons with a string of injury issues preventing him from playing.
Still, with Chelsea in full control and the visitors holding on, it should not be a complete surprise that Klopp felt he had to change something.
But several fans seemingly were not on the same page as their manager, with some still taking to Twitter to question why the 31-year-old was brought on at Stamford Bridge. Take a look at what they had to say…

Why is Lallana coming on and not Shaq or Ox

You want a robust midfielder? Bring on the Ox
You want a creative threat going forward? Bring on Shaqiri. Lallana offers nothing they don’t— NHGLFC (@NHG_LFC) September 22, 2019
We need to win and we put on Lallana?
