Breaking into the Liverpool first-team looks a tall order at the moment.
The senior side have been performing at an astronomical level, leading the Premier League by 13 points with a game in hand over their rivals.
Their defence is currently the best in the Premier League, conceding just 14 goals in their 19 games.
A certain Andrew Robertson is a key part of that, developing into one of the world’s elite defenders since arriving from Hull in 2017. The defender with the highest amount of tackles per game this season (1.9, via WhoScored) and has made the third-highest number of assists, so his importance to the cause is obvious.
A key figure right now, the Scotsman stands in the way of one of their most talented youth prospects in Yasser Larouci.
Initially signed by the club as a winger, Larouci deputised at full-back during pre-season and impressed during their match against Borussia Dortmund, where he faced off against Jadon Sancho.
The path is clear for him to be second-in-command on the left after Alberto Moreno’s departure in the summer, too.
