Plenty of Liverpool fans have had their say on Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba after Darren Bent suggested that the Reds should try and sign him.
Bent, who had stints at Tottenham, Sunderland and Aston Villa as a player, expressed his sympathy for the Red Devils man as his side suffered their worst Premier League start for 30 years during the current campaign. Pogba has not featured for his team since Boxing Day and has been sidelined for the majority of the season due to a recurring ankle injury.
Bent told talkSPORT (cited by the Daily Mail) that he has been the scapegoat for everything and said that he would get into both Liverpool’s and Manchester City’s teams and that one of them should rescue him. Indeed, the 26-year-old has played just seven games during the current campaign and reports suggest that United chiefs have given the green light to sell the World Cup winner in the summer. With that in mind, some Liverpool supporters were not impressed with Bent’s remarks and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan suggested that he would be “too busy fixing his hair”.
