Lots of Liverpool fans have been weighing in on Everton’s reported swoop for Carlo Ancelotti, with one supporter even anointing their potential new rival ‘an Italian Allardyce’.
According to Sky Sports Italy’s Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti has agreed to become Everton’s new manager.
The Toffees have gambled on managers with lesser CVs like Roberto Martinez and Marco Silva in recent years, and it looks as though they are finally going for a proven winner.
Romano claims Ancelotti is set to join the Toffees, but only once the creases are ironed out regarding his Napoli contract, given that he was only terminated just last week.
Plenty of the Anfield faithful are having their say on the news, and while they certainly couldn’t be called jealous given the current state of the club under Jurgen Klopp, it’s fair to say they don’t seem too happy about it.
