Liverpool fans react to Fabinho’s Carabao Cup performance

Liverpool supporters have been in fine voice in recent times after seeing their side make it six wins out of six in the Premier League on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s men went into their encounter with Southampton at Anfield having got past West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Leicester City, and Tottenham in their opening five league games, and thus seeking to maintain their outstanding start to the campaign against Mark Hughes’ Saints at the weekend. And the Reds eased to victory on Saturday as goals from Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah alongside an own goal from Wesley Hoedt sealed a routine 3-0 win for the Merseysiders, thus moving them two points clear at the summit of the Premier League table.

As such, there have been many thrilled Liverpudlians up and down the country in recent times, although several have taken to Twitter in recent times to slate the efforts of midfielder Fabinho in their Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The 24-year-old made the move to Anfield during the summer from Monaco as Klopp sought to bolster his midfield options, yet the Brazil international had failed to register a start for his new club prior to Wednesday’s visit of Maurizio Sarri’s Blues.

And the midfielder did little to convince of his capabilities in the middle of the park on Wednesday, which thus prompted several Liverpool fans to take to Twitter during the match to tear into the 24-year-old…
