Loads of Liverpool fans have slammed Gary Neville for suggesting that Reds forward Mohamed Salah is using the club as a stepping stone to Real Madrid.
The Egypt international has been a sensation since he arrived from Roma in 2017. He has scored 90 goals in 140 appearances in all competitions and already has 15 goals this season. Salah has won the Premier League Golden Boot in both of his two full seasons at Anfield and won the Champions League last June.
The Manchester United legend told Sky Sports (cited by the Daily Mail) that Salah is simply using the club in order to engineer a move to Real Madrid, in what came across as wishful thinking. Unsurprisingly, supporters were not impressed with his remarks and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan issued a plea for everyone to ignore him, while another described his comments as ‘salty’.
