Liverpool: Fans react to Harvey Elliott signing as Reds make second summer buy

Some Liverpool fans were none too pleased about the club’s latest announcement as Jurgen Klopp wrapped up his second signing of the transfer window in the form of Harvey Elliott.

The 16-year-old midfielder joins Sepp van den Berg at Anfield this summer as the Reds remain fairly inactive in the transfer window this year, spending the least amount out of any club in the Premier League at just £1.7 million (per Transfermarkt).

Indeed, a lack of transfer activity has not sat well with some Liverpool fans this summer, who were expecting the club to spend some money on players to improve the quality outside of the first-team rather than sign exciting prospects for the future, and some of these supporters took to Twitter to vent their frustration over the signing of Elliott.
