Plenty of Liverpool fans have been reacting to comments made by Lazar Markovic on the Reds’ current season and manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Serbian winger was brought to Anfield by previous boss Brendan Rodgers in 2014 with high expectations on the £20m man. The 25-year-old played for the Merseyside club on 34 occasions, scoring just three goals and providing one assist, as per TransferMarkt. Unfortunately, he did not live up to his high potential and after various European loan spells, he moved to Partizan Belgrade in the summer after his contract expired at Anfield.
Markovic told beIN Sports (via the Liverpool Echo) that he is still a keen supporter of the Reds and takes a great interest in how they are doing. He added that Jurgen Klopp is “something special” as his side aim to capture their first league title in 30 years. Supporters were happy to hear Markovic’s comments and reflected on what might have been for his Liverpool career. One fan said that he wished he made it with the club, while another described him as a “top lad”.

I wish he made it with us. Could have been a fantastic back up to Salah but unfortunately didn’t work out

Not sure what went wrong with Lazar, especially considering he was pretty good at hull on loan. Maybe it was personal problems, you never know. Regardless, got nothing against the guy and wish him all the best in the future
