Plenty of Liverpool fans have been having their say on the latest details leaked about the club’s new home shirt for the 2020/21 campaign.
The Reds are set to bring the eight-year relationship with New Balance to an end and came to an agreement with Nike to become the club’s new kit supplier. Footy Headlines state that the dark red home shirt theme of recent years will remain, with white and teal featuring in the form of trim on the shirt’s collar and cuffs.
Due to the supplier change, the new kit will be released when the deal with Nike takes effect, which is June 1st. New Balance lost their court battle with the Merseyside club after claiming that they breached their contract in agreeing to a deal with the American sportswear brand. Supporters were mixed with their views on the details and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the addition of teal was a “nice touch”, while another was hoping that the report is fake and described it as “awful”.
