According to reports, Liverpool are keen on adding Denis Zakaria to their summer shopping list but will need to fight off Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid (via Sky Sports Germany).
Zakaria, predominantly a holding midfielder, has done well in the middle of the park this season, scoring two goals and grabbing two assists in 23 league appearances (via Transfermarkt).
Monchengladbach are reportedly valuing their midfield man at £43million, which will come as a friendlier price to Liverpool after recently being quoted over £100million for fellow Bundesliga pair Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz (via TEAMtalk).
Zakaria would add some friendly competition to Liverpool’s current midfield, and above all, some much needed back up. With talk of Adam Lallana departing and recent injury blows to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, the Switzerland international would be a welcome signing.

Fans are already agreeing Zakaria would benefit the squad, with one fan stating he ‘moves like a locomotive’ and another branding him a ‘monster in midfield’.
Sky Germany reporting that LFC are interested in Mönchengladbach's Swiss DM Denis Zakaria. A dynamic MF, exceptional ball-winner, moves like a locomotive up the pitch (speed x power), smart in the first build-up phase and his defensive contribution helps the defense massively.

Makes sense given they were keen a few years back according to The Athletic. Terrific player.

What do you think, Reds? Would you take Zakaria at Liverpool?
