A hot topic in the Liverpool fanbase at the moment is the summer transfer window, and there’s plenty of supporters who are speculating about who could be heading for the exit door.
Dejan Lovren – a sore subject amongst Reds fans – could see his era at Anfield come to an end. He reportedly was close to leaving the club 12 months earlier, so this summer could finally be the right time for curtains to close (via Liverpool Echo).
The Croatian was once a vital part of Liverpool’s squad, with his winning goal against Dortmund in the 2015/16 Europa League easily one of his most poignant performances. However, the poor performances have overshadowed the rare moments of greatness across the years and fans have finally had enough of his inconsistency.
Many fans are celebrating over the idea that Lovren could be leaving this summer. One fan has said his ‘time is up’ while another has joked that even ‘Delboy would struggle to sell Lovren’.
