Loads of Liverpool fans have had their say on Mohamed Salah’s involvement in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after Egypt U23 manager Shawky Gharib announced that he has been shortlisted to play.
The 27-year-old is on Egypt’s provisional 50-man list for the summer tournament in Eastern Asia, which will run from July 24th to August 8th if his country reaches the final of the competition. This also takes place on the opening day of the 2020/21 Premier League season. Gharib told Reuters (cited by BBC Sport) that they cannot force Salah to play for them next summer but it will ultimately come down to the player himself and Liverpool to decide whether he competes.
Gharib’s comments got plenty of supporters talking. Despite his absence from the team’s pre-season preparations, some fans were not too concerned as you can see below.

Incredibly, these fans even suggested that Liverpool should sell Salah if he went to Tokyo and also due to his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations.
