Liverpool: Fans react to Naby Keita injury update

Liverpool take on MK Dons in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, with the Reds expected to make plenty of changes to their starting line-up.

Indeed, players such as Rhian Brewster (per the club’s official website) and the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana are all likely to feature according to the Liverpool Echo but one player Reds fans may not have expected to see is midfielder Naby Keita.

The 24-year-old has only featured once this season, in the Community Shield back in August. Since then he has been out of action with a muscle injury, but the Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders confirmed in a press conference that he is ready to return.

When asked for team news ahead of their trip to Stadium:MK, Lijnders replied by saying: “I won’t give the team but Naby is in a really good way. What a boy”, tweeted out by James Pearce of the Athletic.

The Dutchman’s words have created plenty of excitement amongst the Liverpool faithful, who are desperate to see Keita back in the team. Here is how a few Reds supporters reacted to the hint that the Guinean could feature against MK Dons…
