Liverpool: Fans react to official confirmation of Nike kit partnership

Liverpool fans went into meltdown on Tuesday after the club confirmed their kit partnership with Nike, which starts in June 2020.

The American sportswear company with kit-out the Reds for the 2020/21 season, which includes the first team, women’s, Academy squad and coaching staff.

Jurgen Klopp’s side-parted company with New Balance had their court case dismissed over a multimillion-pound sponsorship deal after the Reds allegedly refused to honour the terms of their reported £40m-a-year deal with the company, which comes to an end in May 2020.

As a result, Liverpool will leave New Balance after the club signed with them in 2015 and will continue until the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

Supporters exploded in delight once the news was officially announced and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described the news as “a madness”.
