Liverpool: Fans relieved to see Fabinho return from injury

Liverpool fans welcomed back midfielder in open arms as he returned to action during his side’s 2-0 victory against Manchester United on Sunday.

The 26-year-old made his comeback to Jurgen Klopp’s side after he suffered an ankle injury during the Reds’ 1-1 draw against Napoli in the Champions League. He is held in a high regard by Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville, who described him as the “best in the world”, as per This is Anfield. Similar words were echoed by former midfielder Xabi Alonso who picked out the Brazil international as the German tactician’s “greatest asset”, cited by Squawka.

The Brazilian came on as a substitute with 11 minutes to play as helped protect the Reds’ unbeaten run at their prestigious home, and have now taken 91 points from the last 93 available to them in the Premier League, as per BBC Sport. Fabinho has one goal and one assist in 13 games and will look to get back into Klopp’s starting line-up.
