Rafa Benitez has tweeted his well wishes to former side Liverpool after they have been crowned Premier League champions for the first ever time.
After Chelsea rode out winners over Manchester City, Liverpool were mathematically crowned league winners after a long 30 years. The Reds also boast the new record for the fastest time the title has been won, with glory under their belts whilst seven games still remain.
Benitez enjoyed a six year spell with the Reds and helped them win the 2005 Champions League final, a night which Kopites will never be able to forget.

The Spaniard recently left the Premier League after making a move from Newcastle to Chinese Super League side Dalian Professional (via Guardian).
Loads of Liverpool fans have responded to their former manager’s tweet and are showing a lot of love for him. One supporter has even said ‘This is as much your title as ours’. It seems Benitez will always have a place in Kopites’ hearts after the magical night in Istanbul.
