The 31-year-old shone as he helped Jurgen Klopp’s side advance to the fourth round of the domestic cup competition for the first time since the 2017/18 campaign.
A stunning curled effort from Curtis Jones was enough to seal their place in the next round and send the blue half of Merseyside away unhappy once more at Anfield, where they have not won since 1999.

Lallana received a lot of credit from fans which was justified after statistics that were revealed by Sofascore.
He won six ground duels, made three tackles, two clearances and had a pass success rate of 87%.
