As the Premier League season is less than three weeks away, Liverpool’s pre-season plans are well underway.
The Reds have already played their first warm-up match, with them beating VfB Stuttgart 3-0 last Saturday. Yesterday they played Red Bull Salzburg, who they faced twice last term in the Champions League, as they continue their preparations for the 2020/21 campaign.

It was far from an easy game for Jurgen Klopp’s men, though – they had to come from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw against the Austrian side, with half-time substitute Rhian Brewster scoring twice to spare the Premier League champions from defeat.
For the first goal in the opening minutes, Fabinho made a terrible mistake which allowed Patson Daka to score, and it is fair to say that plenty of Liverpool fans were far from happy with his error – some questioned the £50.4m-valued ability whilst others indicated that this is exactly why they need Thiago Alcantara, who has been heavily linked with a move to Merseyside.
