Liverpool: Fans speculate as Jurgen Klopp signs personal deal with Adidas

Jurgen Klopp has signed a new personal endorsement deal with direct Nike rivals and German manufacturer Adidas.

According to the Daily Telegraph (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), the Liverpool boss will trade in his iconic New Balance attire for a fresh look in the 2020/21 season. Klopp will now wear Adidas sports gear, which has raised questions amongst fans following the club’s new lucrative sponsorship deal with Nike.

The Premier League champions recently unveiled their new home kit and first ever Nike advertisement video. Their former partnership with New Balance came to an end this summer after five years.

The news has sparked a lot of debate, with Kopites discussing what this personal agreement could mean. Some think Klopp could be leaving Anfield and that going against the grain of the new sponsorship is some sort of act of defiance.

Another supporter thinks this is a big error from Nike who have ‘dropped the bag’ by not making sure the 54-year-old it also kitted out with new gear.
