Loads of Liverpool fans have suggested that the Reds should sign Manchester City midfielder after their Financial Fair Play controversy.
The Citizens were banned for two seasons from the Champions League and fined €30m by UEFA for ‘serious breaches’ with the European governing body’s regulations. Indeed, the move could send shockwaves on football and the club look set to miss out on £170m, as per the Daily Mail. With the thought of their Premier League rivals not playing in football’s biggest competition, fans made a cheeky suggesting as to who Jurgen Klopp should bring in.
De Bruyne, who is valued at £135m by TransferMarkt, has been hailed as one of the Premier League’s best players by many pundits since his arrival from Wolfsburg in 2015. He even revealed that he was a boyhood Liverpool fan who idolised Michael Owen as a child. Putting two and two together, supporters were quick to demand the Belgium international makes the trip down the M62 to Anfield.
