Everton have had a tough run over the last couple of months. It’s something that Liverpool fans have all loved and they’ve been taking some credit for their rivals demise as it was the previous Merseyside derby where their season started to fall apart after Jordan Pickford’s blunder handed the Reds the win, and Silva has been hard since.

Marco Silva has shown that he has a quality touch in management, yet the Portuguese manager is still struggling this season in the Premier League. The Toffees were well in with a shot to crack the top six in the earlier months, although when a different Portuguese manager was sacked it killed Everton’s chances, leaving them battling for 7th, although things had already started falling apart.
Since that Merseyside Derby at Anfield where Everton fell to a 1-0 loss, Silva has taken charge of a further 16 games, yet he’s won less than a third of those with a meagre five wins. Those wins haven’t been glamorous either. Wins by a one-goal margin over Southampton, Lincoln and Huddersfield have been far from convincing, and the fans will be desperate to get things back on track this weekend with a win against their bitter rivals.
