Jurgen Klopp has discussed Manchester City’s current squad and is in awe of how the Reds are still 20 points ahead of them.
Pep Guardiola’s side smashed five goals past a helpless Burnley earlier this week and closed the gap on runaway leaders Liverpool. The Merseyside outfit still have an astonishing lead over the reigning champions, but Klopp has been quick to compliment their team.
“I watched Man City last night and thought how is it possible that someone is 20pts clear of this team? We must have done something right” the German said (reported by James Pearce).

The Reds will prepare to face off against Crystal Palace in hopes to get back into winning ways before Man City host them at the Etihad next week. Despite, their comfortable lead, fans seem to think Klopp is sweating following their recent draw in the Merseyside derby.

One supporter has tweeted ‘He seems scared of bottling’. Given Liverpool’s unlucky history and their painful near-miss season in 2013/14, it’s understandable why so many believe there’s still a chance of messing this season up.

Indirect jibe to the owners. Klopp has done miracles but he just can’t go on and on with the same squad. His face his so intense otherwise it was always a lot happier face. Other teams are strengthening.

We have been phenomenal this season and won a lot of narrow games by the odd goal. Whereas City have had an off season especially defensively without Laporte. I will be tough to hold them off next season without strengthening the team. They look far more fluid than us already.
