Liverpool youngster Layton Stewart has penned a new deal with the Merseyside outfit.
For fans of the 17-year-old, the club announcement will come as good news due to the fact his season with the under-18s was cut short due to an ankle injury.

Stewart joins the long line of Liverpool youth stars who are working hard to break into the senior side. He has impressed this season with his excellent form, netting a superb 11 goals in 12 matches for the Reds’ under-18 side. He also made one appearance in Premier League 2 (via Transfermarkt).
Many fans of the newly-crowned champions of England have congratulated the teenager and expressed their excitement over seeing him commit his future to the club. One supporter has been extremely generous by tipping Stewart to be the ‘next Robbie Fowler’, backing him to emulate the Anfield hero who scored 183 goals for Liverpool, with another more reservedly describing the contract announcement as ‘great news’.
