The 29-year-old started for the 23rd time this season in the Premier League after what has been a frustrating campaign for the Reds – which hasn’t been helped by their catastrophic injury crisis.

Firmino had a frustrating time up against his opposite number Michael Keane who ensured that he had a quiet night at Anfield, failing to find the back of the net with any of his four attempts on goal.
Before the game, Firmino had scored six goals and provided five assists from 24 appearances, with an average match rating of 7.07 with 2.4 shots per game (Whoscored).
