Liverpool: Fans slam Hakim Ziyech’s Champions League comments

Liverpool won their sixth European Cup/Champions League trophy in Madrid last year.
They defeated Tottenham in the final, after both sides had miraculous comebacks in their respective semi-final matches to be able to earn their place for the showpiece. The Reds had to beat Barcelona by four goals to progress, and they did just that as they won 4-0 in their second leg, whilst Spurs won on away goals after beating Ajax 3-2 in Amsterdam – they were 2-0 down at half-time.
De Godenzonen’s Hakim Ziyech – who has completed a transfer to Chelsea for £33.3m – believes that it wouldn’t have been Jordan Henderson lifting the trophy in the Spanish capital had Ajax progressed. He said in his documentary (via Empire of the Kop) that Ajax would have defeated Liverpool had they faced each other.
Who would have won?
Ajax

Liverpool

Unsurprisingly, he has awoken the wrath of the Anfield outfit’s supporters – one fan even called his quotes “useless”. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

These claims are useless and and unrealistic cos it didn’t happen and won’t happen because you can’t bring back the past or go back in time and change destiny, just think about the future, our best game was against Barcelona last year and the final was to win it and not play it
