Plenty of Liverpool fans were not happy when they discovered that Harry Wilson would be moving to Cardiff City on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old has been consistently left out of Jurgen Klopp’s side over the years and has been sent on several loan spells to gain more first-team experience, having only made two appearances in the first-team, as per TransferMarkt.

Following a successful stint at Frank Lampard’s Derby County during the 2018/19 campaign, the Wales international moved to Bournemouth, who were relegated to the Championship on the final day of last season.
With the Reds having bought the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota this summer, Wilson found himself slipping further down the pecking order. This tempted Burnley into making a £12m bid for a permanent transfer, which was rejected by the Reds.

As a result, supporters were furious that their side was unable to cash in on the Welshman before Friday’s 5pm deadline passed, making their feelings clear on social media about what one fan called a ‘pointless’ deal.
