Many Liverpool fans have been sharing their excitement following a report from Anfield Central that Ibrahima Konate has agreed personal terms with the club.

This report has since been shared on Twitter, which prompted a lot of excitement among some of the Anfield faithful.

Michael Edwards is still reportedly trying to negotiate with RB Leipzig over the payment structure of Konate's transfer fee, as Transfermarkt currently rate him at £31.5m.

The central defender emerged as a transfer target for the Merseysiders in the January window, and it looks as if they have not ended their pursuit, with seemingly just a fee to negotiate as the personal terms are already agreed.

Nonetheless, Konate could certainly be a long-term solution for Jurgen Klopp's side in terms of partnering Virgil Van Dijk, and offers some stability at the heart of the defence.
