Liverpool have been one of the form teams in the Premier League so far this season, with the Premier League title well within their sights.
The Reds have been a dominant force under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp in recent years, but they certainly look their strongest in the current campaign. And, to make things even better, it appears as if they’re in the driving seat to secure a transfer swoop, as according to Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), Liverpool are in pole position to secure the services of highly-rated midfielder Nicolo Barella.
It’s believed that following the summer deal taking Ragnar Klavan from Anfield to Cagliari, the Reds are in ‘pole position’ to sign Nicolo Barella from the Italian club.
And, judging by how Jurgen Klopp has developed the likes of Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold into superstars in recent years, there’s no reason as to why he can’t do the same with Barella.
THE VERDICT:
The midfielder is one of the hottest prospects in Italy having impressed so far this season at current club Cagliari, with plenty of clubs keeping an eye on the youngster.
And, with Klopp’s track record of developing youngsters during his time at Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, you wouldn’t be surprised if Barella became a future star under his guidance.
