Liverpool have been delivered a promising update regarding their pursuit of Jude Bellingham by reporter Christian Falk.
The Lowdown: Liverpool target Bellingham
The Reds have been linked with a move for Bellingham for quite some time, but Sky Sports recently reported that he is now the club’s main target in the summer transfer window after his recent displays at the Qatar World Cup.
However, Jurgen Klopp is not the only Premier League manager interested in the 19-year-old, with Chelsea and Manchester City said to be in the race, while Spanish giants Real Madrid are also plotting a deal.

Taking to Twitter to highlight a significant recent development in the race to sign the starlet, Falk revealed:
“True. Liverpool are favourites to sign Jude Bellingham (19) from @BVB next summer. talks are more advanced than with Real Madrid. The Family of Bellingham prefers the Transfer to LFC.”
The Verdict: Exciting news
Given the level of interest from some of Europe’s top clubs, it is fantastic news for Liverpool that they are seemingly winning the race to sign the £49k-a-week midfield maestro.
The England international, hailed as “phenomenal” by manager Gareth Southgate, has been seriously impressive at the World Cup, nothing his first goal for his country in the opening game against Iran, before putting on a clinic in the 3-0 round of 16 victory against Senegal.
With one big chance created in the match, the 6 foot 1 gem was just one of two players to formulate an opportunity of this magnitude, alongside Phil Foden, while he also displayed his vision with a pass accuracy of 91%.
At club level it has been much of the same for Bellingham, who averages 0.24 non-penalty goals per 90 minutes, in the 94th percentile compared to other central-midfielders, and the Liverpool hierarchy should now advance talks to ensure that they win the race for the sought-after young prospect.
