Plenty of Liverpool fans have called for the club to sign Jack Grealish in the wake of comments he made about the Reds in an interview this week.
The Aston Villa attacking midfielder was speaking to his club’s official YouTube channel ahead of their midweek Premier League fixture when he said tongue-in-cheek: “Every team is capable of getting beaten at the moment, apart from Liverpool.”
The 24-year-old has scored five goals and set up another five in 14 appearances for Dean Smith’s side this season, with his most recent strike coming in sumptuous fashion against Manchester United on Sunday when he cut inside before curling the ball exquisitely into the far corner of the net from a tight angle (as per Sky Sports).
Grealish has averaged 2.2 shots and 2.7 key passes per game in the Premier League this term, while his record of drawing 4.4 fouls per game indicates how tricky a proposition he can be for opposition defenders. [via WhoScored]
These Liverpool fans on Twitter are hoping that the midfielder will sign for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the near future, with one supporter seeing him as a long-term successor to Adam Lallana at Anfield:
I would take Grealish in a heartbeat at LFC. He actually carries a mediocre Villa side and always puts in a shift. A very Klopp like player.

I don't know about most of you but I would fancy Jack Grealish in this #LFC squad. He would provide a versatile dimension that seems to be missing sometimes.
