Flocking to Twitter, many Liverpool fans criticised the performance of Naby Keita in an enthralling match against Tottenham Hotspur this evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were aiming to keep up with Premier League leaders Manchester City as they took on Spurs in north London and played their part in an entertaining afternoon of football.

Controversy, plenty of goalmouth action and a rip-roaring contest drew a curtain on the weekend’s limited match action with the Reds’ next match coming in midweek as they take on Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.

Liverpool ended up dropping points in the title race with a 2-2 draw against Antonio Conte’s side but it was Keita’s individual performance in particular which got plenty of supporters talking.

Liverpool fans slam Keita…

The 26-year-old gave up possession 16 times, lost nine duels and was dribbled past three times, highlighting the fact he had a tough time in midfield against the Lilywhites (SofaScore).

Here’s how some Kopites reacted to Keita’s performance on Twitter, with one angry fan calling him a “fraud”:
