Liverpool are thought to still be interested in one of their transfer targets from a couple of years ago.
The Napoli midfielder has been rumoured with a move to Anfield for a long period of time, however, he decided to make the move to Naples, where he has continued to flourish.
The Poland international has become a favourite with the Serie A side, however, that has not stopped the Liverpool boss from still wanting to sign him.
However, it is understood that Napoli want to extend the 24-year-old’s stay and are looking to offer him a new contract, which could contain a release fee clause of around €100million.
The Verdict:

Zielinski has garnered plenty of interest during his relatively short playing career and Liverpool appear to be a club always at the forefront when it comes to teams being linked.
The Poland international has already started the Serie A season in fine form, having chipped in with a couple of goals and assists from the middle of the park.
Should Klopp want to finally get his man at Anfield, he will have to spend bigger than he has previously done so, especially if Napoli manages to tie their maestro down to a new deal.
