Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are excited about their game later today as they host Arsenal at Anfield in the Premier League.
The Reds go into the game in a good mood after beating Crystal Palace last weekend and then qualifying for the Champions League proper after beating Hoffenheim in the week.
Certainly, then, beating Arsenal would be a huge boost before the international break but whilst we wait for kick-off, let’s divulge in some transfer talk.
Indeed, the Reds are surely looking to sign some more players before the end of the window and here by the bar a fair few want to see Grzgorz Krychowiak arrive before Deadline Day.
When you look at the Reds’ midfield you see plenty of energy and craft from the likes of Gini Wijnaldum and Emre Can but there isn’t really anyone there that is about raw power and getting the ball off of the opposition.
Indeed, a bit more steel is needed at the Reds’ core and the Polish international could surely add to that if he was to be snapped up.
Certainly, he’s not had the most successful time at PSG since his move there and could be up for a transfer away and it’s more than likely he’d get plenty of game time as the Reds embark on a European tour.
