There are some rather puzzled looks on the faces of Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern as our landlord shows them this recent Instagram post from their skipper Steven Gerrard.
The long serving player is of course out with injury and it seems one of his team-mates has taken it upon himself to get the midfielder back as soon as physically possible and while we are more than appreciative of the effort, we are pretty sure that photo posted by Gerrard is for his eyes only.
In fact, as one of our punters notes the fact that Mamadou Sakho has rolled his shorts up to eye-watering levels only makes it worse and the rather predatory look in ‘physio’ Sakho’s eyes is just the cherry on top of a very strange cake.
