Metro have Liverpool fans looking up here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that Mario Balotelli could well be on his way out of the club and to the MLS.
Now as one of our punters notes, things have not exactly gone to plan in the forward’s first season at Anfield and his relationship with Brendan Rodgers has never really looked anywhere close to comfortable – but for Balotelli to consider a move to America so early in his career, things must be bad!
Given he is a massive name and someone who could draw crowds, we can understand exactly why the MLS side Orlando City want to sign him – but we are not particularly impressed with Balotelli wanting to essentially give up on his talent and follow Steven Gerrard to the MLS.
One of our punters notes that Balotelli has plenty left to give and at 24 years of age, could even spend a couple of seasons in America getting his act together and return to top flight European football.
