In the wake of winning the Champions League last season, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp decided to only make cosmetic changes to his squad for the 2019/20 campaign.
Liverpool-focused Twitter channel @AnfieldWatch tweeted a summary of the Reds’ transfer business, with only three players coming in and seven leaving the club permanently for a fee.

The only newcomer with a confirmed transfer fee was Sepp van den Berg, who signed from Zwolle in Netherlands, with Harvey Elliott’s signing fee undisclosed. Goalkeeper Adrian joined on a free transfer while Andy Lonergan came to the club on a short-term deal.
Danny Ings, Simon Mignolet, Ryan Kent, Rafael Camacho, Ovie Ejaria, Bobby Duncan and George Johnston all recouped transfer fees for the Reds with a combined total of around £48m, according to @Anfield Watch, while the likes of Harry Wilson, Ben Woodburn and Marko Grujic have been loaned out for the season.
