Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher told The Mirror that he feels Rangers manager and ex-Reds captain Steven Gerrard would be a worthy successor to Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
The Mirror reported quotes from Carragher in which he said that his former team-mate could well end up earning the Liverpool manager’s job through his achievements rather than his reputation as a player, a story that was shared by @AnfieldWatch on Twitter.

Gerrard finished second in the Scottish Premiership with Rangers last season, having twice beaten champions Celtic, and his team currently lead the way in the division after eight games.
He has also guided the ‘Gers into the Europa League group stage in both of his seasons in charge, having taken the job in the summer of 2018, with the club having been absent from European group stage participation since 2010/11 before his arrival.
However, with Klopp having won the Champions League and finished second in the Premier League at Liverpool last season, as well as having them eight points clear in the league currently and being contracted to the club until 2022, these Reds fans on Twitter feel that Carragher may be jumping the gun in talking of Gerrard taking over from Klopp:
